GOLDHILL SHOPPING CENTRE
A low-rise retail and office building complex completed in 1969. Catering to small businesses requiring offices outside the central business district, this was the first shopping centre outside the central business district. The project was a resounding success. It popularised the concept of mixed-use developments and was the forerunner for the growth of commercial developments outside the central business district in Singapore.
